A PAN-AFRICAN LEGAL & ADVISORY NETWORKinfo@africanlawyersassociation.com

ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION

A more connected
legal Africa.

A pan-African legal and advisory network connecting clients with local attorneys, legal practitioners and legal advisors, and supporting professionals with practice administration.

Local knowledge.
A broader perspective.

Finding legal assistance should start with your matter, not with how many contacts you already have.

African Lawyers Association provides a central point of enquiry for individuals, businesses and professional advisers seeking legal support in Africa. Our role is to understand the location and nature of a request and seek a relevant independent legal professional.

The network is designed for three starting points: a legal consultation, a written legal opinion, or an introduction to an attorney, legal practitioner or legal advisor who may accept a formal instruction within their authorised scope. Cross-border requests can identify more than one jurisdiction.

Each practitioner remains responsible for their own admission, professional obligations, advice and engagement terms. The association connects independent professionals and supports their practices. It is not a statutory bar association, regulator or a single law firm admitted in every jurisdiction.

THE PRINCIPLES BEHIND THE CREST

Advocacy. Unity. Justice.

Advocacy

Helping people find an appropriate starting point for the legal advice and representation they need.

Unity

Encouraging professional connections across practices, specialities and African jurisdictions.

Justice

Supporting a considered route to counsel, with clear boundaries and respect for local professional requirements.

A network.
Not a shortcut
around due diligence.

For clients

A referral does not guarantee suitability or the acceptance of your matter. Confirm the practitioner's credentials, experience, fee arrangements and ability to act before giving instructions.

For legal professionals

Applications provide the basis for review and verification. A submitted application does not create membership or guarantee instructions. Profile publication and any network terms require separate agreement.

ADMISSION BY APPROVAL, NOT AUTOMATIC LISTING

Expertise matters.
So does scrutiny.

Every applicant attorney, legal practitioner and legal advisor must pass a rigorous application and approval process before being listed or introduced through the network.

Our standard is selective: demonstrated qualifications, relevant experience, professional standing and the permitted scope of work. We seek highly qualified, experienced professionals suited to your matter, not simply the nearest name.
